In her Cathedral Window & Secret Garden DVD Janet will show you how to make Cathedral Window and Secret Garden blocks.

These blocks are small and usually hand sewn, which makes them ideal to carry around with you and work on in manageable sections.
The reason the block is called “Cathedral Window” is because it looks like glass diamonds in a leaded window.
A coloured fabric is framed by the plain fabric where it is rolled over to form a curve..
 
With the “Secret Garden” block the plain fabric is folded back to reveal the coloured fabric underneath and create a “flower” shape.
The basic construction of the two blocks are very similar, they are both made up from squares of fairly plain or marbled fabric and small scraps of coloured fabric.
These blocks are great for using up tiny scraps from your “stash”.
